Good news to pirates who are still mourning for the demise of ExtraTorrent.cc - ExtraTorrent is back.
ExtraTorrent has reportedly been revived by a group of "uploaders and admins" who claimed to be connected with the original site, The Inquirer reported citing an email that started off with the site's new address.

"We have successfully resurrected it back to its glory at extratorrent.cd with all available data," the email wrote.
Indeed, a functional ExtraTorrent.cd is now up on the web, offering register and login options and appearing to be already loaded with torrents making it more than ready to be of service.
"It's live and new data is continuously being updated," the email continued, warning that "some small features are not working yet and we are getting it fixed as we speak."
The group also explained the sudden closure of the original ExtraTorrent site.
"As you know, SAM from ExtraTorrent pulled the plug yesterday and took all data offline under pressure from authorities. We were in deep shock and have been working hard to get it back online with all previous data."
The group also revealed that this is not the first time that they have revived a site. They claimed to have previously resurrected The Pirate Bay and KickAss Torrents (kickass.cd) when these went offline.
"These sites are our home and we won't let anyone destroy them," they said.
The news follows just less than a week after ExtraTorrent.cc officially bid goodbye to its users, posting a brief farewell message on its homepage. The site said it will not be returning and will "permanently erase all data." It also warned users to "stay away from fake ExtraTorrent websites and clones."
After the site shut down for good, ExtraTorrent release groups such as ettv and EtHD found refuge on other torrent sites like The Pirate Bay, Torrentz2, and RARBG.
