"Halo Wars 2" has recently received a new DLC pack that introduces Sgt. Johnson with his Green Machine. Also, a huge patch with a variety of fixes and improvements is available now for download.
The new update for "Halo Wars 2" adds a single new feature in the form of support for HDR lighting on Xbox One S. There are also stability fixes, gameplay changes and audio adjustments such as the locust beam which is now no longer audible in the fog of war.

Some of the patch notes that went live recently include the crash that sometimes happens after signing in on the Main Menu is now fixed. The crash when playing against AI in Firefight or Skirmish mode is also addressed.
The desync that could happen in ranked 2v2 games in "Halo Wars 2" is now fixed. It has also patched the crash that could happen when players attack the first barricade in the Prologue.
The crash on "Last Stand" that could happen when loading from an old save from a previous release is now fixed. Players this time will no longer have a chance of loading into the game when they have no ability to issue any commands.
On the gameplay changes, there is now an allied view indicator to the mini-map as well as an added two new themes to "Proving Ground" Blitz map. The Blitz playlists will now appear in the main multiplayer "Find Match" screen.
Better "Combat Salvage" visual effects is now added when a unit dies and is immediately built back at base. Full patch notes can be viewed via "Halo Wars 2" official website.
In more news, the new DLC leader Sgt. Johnson with his "Green Machine" with him is out now on Windows 10 and Xbox One. Previous "Halo Wars 2" released DLC leaders included Kinsano and Colony. They are included with the game's $30 DLC pass or can be purchased individually for $6 each, so it is presumed the same is true for Sgt. Johnson.
