New updates for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will feature Marvel characters not be restricted to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and X-Men and Fantastic Four teams added soon.
It seems that gaming fans will be expecting more Marvel characters outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" as game producer Mike Evans told Metro that the playable fighters in the Marvel roster will not be "restricted" to just the MCU.

This means that every character from the Marvel universe will be add to "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" and players will expect characters from the X-Men and Fantastic Four soon, EventHubs reported.
While characters from the X-Men franchise such as Wolverine, Storm, Ice Man, Sentinel and Magneto are featured in the past "Marvel vs. Capcom" games that idea of restricting characters is something the gaming fans are bothered from due to the legal license of the "X-Men" film franchise being owned Fox alongside Fantastic Four.
The three characters from the Fantastic Four are already made their debut in the "Marvel vs Capcom" series Doctor Doom, Super Skrull and Galactus, but the main team of Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and the Thing has not yet made their appearance into the game.
For now, the roster for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" consist of Avenger members Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Captain Marvel, along with Guardians of the Galaxy members Groot and Rocket Raccoon, and the villainous Ultron representing the Marvel Universe.
As for Capcom, it consist of "Street Fighter" veterans Ryu and Chun-Li, BSAA agent Chris Redfield of the "Resident Evil" series, fan-favorite Strider Hiryu and Mega Man X and Sigam of the "Mega Man X" series.
The plot of the game will feature the Marvel and Capcom characters teaming-up together to stop Ultron and Sigma, now known as Ultron Sigma, in collecting the Infinity Stones and ruling both universes. "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will return to its 2vs2 gameplay and each team can carry an Infinity stone in battle.
"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will launch on Sept. 19 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
