Microsoft Surface Book was released a few months back while Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro S is scheduled to be released this February. Since their release dates are so close to each other, and both are relatively new models, they offer natural competition to each other.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro S has a 12-inch Super AMOLED display with a detachable keyboard plus a flexible hinge. GS Marena reported that pricing of Galaxy Tab Pro S is yet to be disclosed. The upcoming Galaxy Tab Pro S shall run on Windows 10, with an option for customer to choose between Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro. It has a 5200 mAH battery, 4 GB of RAM, a 5 MP rear and front camera. It shall be available in both Wi-Fi and LTE models. It can be purchased with two exclusive accessories - a Bluetooth pen and a multiport adapter.

But Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro S has heavy competition lying ahead in form of Microsoft Surface Book.

Tech Radar reported that the Microsoft Surface Book is the "most versatile, inventive and gorgeous Windows laptop ever made." It has a 13.5-inch display screen that supports a resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels. Neuro Gadget reported that Surface Book scores higher over Galaxy Tab Pro S, both in terms of battery life and camera.

Surface Book promises a battery life of 12 hours usage compared to Samsung's 10.5 hours usage. Surface Book comes with two cameras: 8 MP primary and 5 MP front. GS Marena highly recommends Surface Book's "Dynamic Fulcrum hinge" for easy portability of device. It is powerful and promised to be twice as fast as Microsoft's Mac Book Pro.
