'Overwatch' is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment.
The latest updates for "Overwatch" will have Blizzard not releasing more than four characters in the game and a jet pack cat hero teased in the roster.
Game director Jeff Kaplan has reiterated his comments regarding the number of characters being added to "Overwatch" and stated that the development team has not specific number of heroes, but he does see the addition of new characters slowing down over time.

Kaplan told PC Gamer that players are familiar with each "Overwatch" hero and need to maintain it. The new characters being released must also compliment the "existing cast" and not take away the value or worth of others.
With that being said, the "Overwatch" team will only launch three to four characters per year and will exceed beyond that. Kaplan added that Blizzard does not want to "homogenize" heroes by repeating abilities or variants of the same ability.
Blizzard still has some amazing ideas for heroes that would have unique gameplay and backstories that would fit well within to "Overwatch," but ultimately, when it comes to heroes, the company prefer quality over quantity.
Kaplan teased an "Overwatch" heroe concept involving a cat wearing a jet pack. This character was one of the many hero concepts that were made for the game during its early development and was recently popped out during an AMA session on Reddit, VG 24/7 reported.
As for characters like Doomfist, many gaming fans theorized that the rumored 25th hero will be coming to "Overwatch's" roster, perhaps after its Anniversary event.
Joining Doomfist are two new charaters named Bria and Ivon with their own brand of incredible abilities and unique gameplay styles.
For now, gaming fans are currently enjoying new features and items in "Overwatch's" Anniversary event starting this month until June 12. Not to mention, the "Game of the Year" Edition of the game and a free-to-play coming this week.
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
