Square Enix has seemingly confirmed the bad news that "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will not be seeing their release in 2017. But it is said that either of the games will likely get an official reveal trailer or a slew of development details at E3 next month.
According to Square Enix president and CEO Yosuke Matsuda "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will be out in the next three years. So, this only means that fans will not be able to get their hands on both games this year as many would have hoped for.

This disappointing news came out in an outline of the company's financial briefings for fiscal year ended March 31, 2017. "This slide shows our release lineup for FY2017/3 as well as for FY2018/3 and beyond. We plan to launch each of these upcoming titles in the next three years or so," Matsuda stated.
Needless to say, the delay in the release of "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" could take up to 2020 as worst case scenario, that is. Both of the games do not have an earlier release window at this time.
Meanwhile, here is a bit of good news. Recent reports making the rounds on the net suggest that a possible new trailer for "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be showcased at E3 2017. The annual trade expo is lsated to take place on June 13-15 at Los Angeles Convention Center in California.
The alleged sneak peek was formerly set for release in April but Square Enix changed its original plan. Rather, the trailer will be unveiled at the game developer's own booth at the show.
Fans can recalled how game director Tetsuya Nomura earlier said about his plans to share the progress in the development of "Kingdom Hearts 3" at an event somewhere, and E3 seems to be anyone's best guess. It is also easy to speculate that the PS4-exclusive "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will be teased as well.
