Prince Harry is tested for HIV.
Prince Harry views HIV positively as something that every people should know about. That is why he recently urged everyone to get tested for the said infection in memory of his late mother, Princess Diana.
First world country like the United Kingdom is not immune to HIV. In 2015 alone, it has been estimated that 101,200 people are living with HIV in the UK, according to Terrence Higgins Trust. Of the said population, 13 percent remained undiagnosed and did not have the knowledge about their condition.

And for that matter, authorities, celebrities, and even individuals in the upper echelons of the society, like Prince Harry, urged people to take the test. Such pleading is not only intended for themselves but their loved ones as well.
"If you're not going to get tested for yourself, and you're not going to go and get tested for your loved ones that you could possibly infect, then...I don't know if it's a selfish thing to say or not, but if you respect what my mother stood for, go and get tested for her. It's 20 years next year since she died, and 30 years ago she was in this hospital (HIV clinic Mildmay), and she did something that no-one else has ever done before," Royal Central quoted Prince Harry as saying.
This would not be the first time that the Prince showcased his dedication in fighting and preventing HIV. In retrospect, Prince Harry took an HIV test live on Facebook, with an audience of two million people.
As a result of such act, the demand for an HIV home test kit has risen by 500 percent. And with the Prince's recent request and favor in memory of his mother, a potential increase of is likely to be expected by experts.
As of the current writing, HIV prevention remains to be the best approach to fighting HIV/AIDS. Definitive cure for HIV/AIDS is yet to be discovered, which is why prevention still remains better than cure.
