Naughty Dog was responsible for making the first "Crash Bandicoot" on the first PlayStation console, along with its sequels "Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back" and "Crash Bandicoot: Warped."
The gameplay videos released for "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" so far are quite impressive, especially when developers consider that Vicarious Visions had to basically reverse engineer most of the code since it was in an unusable file format. However, they did have access to “geo data” that helped them rebuild the layouts of the original maps.
"Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" will feature remastered audio and 4K resolution support on PlayStation 4 Pro. Vicarious Visions also added unified checkpoints, the ability to save manually, and time trials.
In other news, another "Crash Bandicoot" game will possibly be added to the PlayStation 4 in the form of "Crash Team Racing."
Massie hinted the possibility of a remastered "Crash Team Racing" and added that the future of the "Crash" franchise has not yet been determined, which leaves the door open for other titles to get the remaster treatment, or for an entirely new game soon.
The game producer added that majority of the fans want "Crash Team Racing" for the PS4. For now, Massie did not confirm if the game will be in the works after "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" as the company has to see how well the latter game’s sales are when it launches, Gamerant reported.
There are also rumors that "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" will be coming to other gaming platforms after one year.
"Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" will launch on June 30 for the PS4.
