An independent and new study suggests that IQOS smokeless cigarettes have more cancer-causing chemicals than ordinary cigarettes, opposed to the claim of Philip Morris and other smoking companies.

Smoking Giants advertised IQOS smokeless cigarettes and these advertisements are said to be deceiving and baseless. The independent study was conducted by Swiss researchers and was published in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine, according to Daily Mail.

Traditional cigarettes burn tobacco, while IQOS smokeless cigarettes heat tobacco and Philip Morris claims for years that these cigarettes have 90 percent fewer toxins. But the study contradicts the claim of these harmless smokeless cigarettes.

Researchers have discovered that the smoke coming from IQOS contains 84 percent nicotine. The finding suggests that smokeless cigarettes have more chemicals associated with cancer, in which the concentration is much higher than traditional ones.

Swiss researchers said that the cancer-causing chemicals found in IQOs are polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and volatile organic compounds. All of these are said to have no "safe minimum limit."
