Samsung will bring the Galaxy Note 8 to the market ahead of the device's perceived rival - Apple's iPhone 8. Reports from South Korea indicated of a plan to unpack the Note 8 before the end of August this year, purportedly to get ahead of the iPhone 8 release date that is rumored to happen around September 2017.

The Korea Herald reported of the circulating rumors that "Samsung is planning to unpack the Note 8 in late August, strategically ahead of the debut of iPhone 8 in September." The same report also claimed the upcoming device is practically the third version of the Galaxy S8 only with a slightly larger Infinity Display and an upgraded S Pen stylus.
As with the GS8, the Note 8 will highlight its stunning front display with the screen bezels virtually unseen. The main logic for the design choice is to make the device more attractive to users that tend to demand massive screen size.
"Users tend to consume more and more high definition movies and video clips and massive data content, they would opt for larger displays on smartphones," the Korean publication said, quoting an industry sources.
The latest leaked details have suggested that unlike the Galaxy S8 the Note 8 will unbox with the fingerprint sensor embedded under the gorgeous display, which is in line with Samsung's earlier claim that the same was planned for the GS8 but engineers just ran out of time. It makes sense that the feature will not make the final cut of the Galaxy Note 8.
Another feature that the GS8 skipped and will make its way to the Note 8 is dual camera, which The Korea Herald said is for the device to produce high-quality and wide-angle images.
It should be noted, however, that Samsung has yet to confirm anything on the Galaxy Note 8. Per Tech Radar, nothing is final as far as the Note 8 is concerned though speculations are rife the phablet flagship will unpack rocking Android 7.1.1 Nougat and the combo of Snapdragon 835 chip and 6GB RAM as main engine.
