Hello Games is not yet done with its indie title, "No Man's Sky", if the latest clue dropped by the developer itself is any indication. A story DLC has been rumored to be in the works and if it is, it could be related to the mysterious Portals in the game's universe.
News on the possible story expansion being in development for "No Man's Sky" broke online when heads of various subreddits received mysterious cassette tapes from Hello Games. Apparently, the people who got the cassette tapes are mum about what is in it but it will not stay a secret for long.

While most of them are reluctant to share the details, some dropped some hints on Twitter, although, they are quite cryptic. It is said that these tapes could be teasing secret new contents that may have links to Portals.
As fans know, Portals are mysterious element in "No Man's Sky" that should teleport players to another world. However, not one gamer that already traveled to various planets has activated the said Portals.
Now, speculations are rife that what the cassette tapes contain is possibly an instruction on how players can have access to these portals that will open or unlock unexplored dimensions. It could a mystery planet in another galaxy or entirely something else.
The last update that fans received for "No Man's Sky" is the free Foundation update late last year. It somehow created a huge change in the game when it introduced a base building and new gameplay modes.
The indie space title was initially released in August last year for PS4 console and also launched on Windows PC. Hello Games has promised fans that the Foundation update is just the first of the many free updates coming to "No Man's Sky" and a story DLC could be in the offing.
