Nokia 3310
When it was unveiled at the MWC 2017 earlier this year, the resurrected Nokia 3310 managed to upstage the other Android handsets that the event introduced. And rightly so as HMD Global had this genius idea of bringing back a feature phone that saw more than 100 million of unit sale and give it a modern touch. But is the device really worth the buy?

But in reality, the 2017 Nokia 3310 is no more than a collector's item. By its design, which is a feature phone, the handset is limited. It's good for calling and sending SMS but for other functionalities users will be frustrated by too many limitations. For one, there will be no Facebook checking.
It's very remote that the Nokia 3310 will pass up as a daily driver. As characterized by the report from Unbox.ph, the device is but "a marketing gimmick that's banking on people's nostalgia to attract attention to the rest of the phones in HMD's lineup."
And sure enough HMD succeeded on that end. The Nokia 6 has been widely accepted in China and other markets, and the anticipation has been building up for the company's rumored Android flagship - the Nokia 9 that is said to be powered by Snapdragon 835 chip and other premium hardware specifications.
In truth, whatever the Nokia 3310 offers can surely be found on other handsets and in India alone there are too many alternatives and even copycats that are up for grabs for less than the $69 asking price of the 3310. In fact for the same amount of dollars, "one can even bag a full Android smartphone for this amount of cash," Wired said on its review.
That mean when function alone is the chief consideration, it's hard to imagine paying the full asking price of the Nokia 3310 when options are ready for the taking. And when ready to pay the price, why not go for Android as the package will surely offer the same 3310 features and more.
As for the claim that the Nokia 3310's battery life is unmatched even by the most premium of smartphones out there, that is probably true Unbox.ph said on its report. But that's because "its long battery life is probably the result of you not being able to do much with it."
