"Devil May Cry 5" or "Dragon's Dogma 2", Hideaki Itsuno's suspected next project missed to make an appearance at the recently concluded E3 2017. The game director has apologized for that but he also brings a delightful news to fans who have been expecting to hear news about his next masterpiece.

Speculations made the rounds online that "Devil May Cry 5" will probably get a surprise E3 announcement but fans got disappointed since the rumored DmC title in the works did not show up at the event. In his latest post on social media, Itsuno has expressed his apologies that there was no announcement about his latest title at E3 2017
But he also confirms some great news that fans can hold on to right now. Via his official Twitter account, he wrote: "I'm sorry I didn't announce anything at E3. My project is progressing smoothly, so please look forward to the announcement."
This latest update then led some fans to speculate that this new project, whether it's "Devil May Cry 5" or "Dragon's Dogma 2" will be ready for announcement at this year's Tokyo Game Show (TGS). This global event is slated to happen on Sep. 21-24, 2017 in Chiba, Japan.
Itsuno is the brilliant mind behind successful "Devil May Cry 2", Devil May Cry 3", and "Devil May 4" and his own creation, "Dragon's Dogma" creation and "Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen". It was himself who dropped an exciting hint to fans earlier this year that he is currently now working on a secret new project, which he did not specifically named.
But it is supposed to be either "Devil May Cry 5" or "Dragon's Dogma 2", with many fans clamoring for the former. In such case the said announcement will happen this year, fans can expect the release date to take place in 2018 or beyond.
