A Chinese leakster has revealed on Weibo, China's micro-blogging site that the Galaxy Note 8 is slated to get announced in the third week of August. This means that the Samsung's upcoming flagship phablet would be unleashed between Aug. 14 to 20. He also claimed that the Galaxy Note 8 Unpacked event will be held in New York, Gizmo China reported.
Last year, the Galaxy Note 7 was launched on Aug. 2 and then it was officially released on Aug. 19. However, the Note 7 met with untimely death because of its faulty battery. The phablet was discontinued as many users from across the world claimed that it caught up fire all of a sudden. However, Samsung has managed to build trust with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones but launching it with a full-screen design.
Compared to 5.1-inch Galaxy S7 and 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 Edge, the Galaxy S8 comes with a bigger screen of 5.8-inch and the Galaxy S8+ is fitted with a larger display of 6.2-inch. Rumors have revealed that the Galaxy Note 8 would be coming with a 6.3-inch screen with full-screen design.
It is rumored to be the first smartphone to come with Snapdragon 836 chipset. Some markets are also rumored to receive Exynos 8895 SoC. Also, the Galaxy Note 8 is also pegged to be the first ever phone form the company to feature a dual camera module.
