2K Games has released the first official details on the release date of "WWE 2K18", the game's special editions as well as the cover superstar. However, the developer has some bad news for the last gen console owners.
It was reported earlier that "WWE 2K18" will no longer launch on last generation consoles, Xbox 360 and PS3 and today, this report is confirmed. The next iteration of the series has been announced to arrive on current gen consoles only, Xbox One and PS4.

The game developer is said to aim at introducing much better visual quality and other new features that are optimized for the current gen consoles. There is no mention of a PC version yet, although, it is expected that such details will be provided later.
Seth Rollins Confirmed as Cover Superstar
It looks like "The Kingslayer" will grace the cover of "WWE 2K18" as suggested earlier. 2K introduces Seth Rollins as the game's cover in a cover reveal trailer that showed the superstar in his completely fierce bad-ass self.
Rollins is not just a cover star for the Wrestling sim game but he, according to press release, will personify the game's worldwide marketing campaign, "Be Like No One". It invites gamers to explore Rollin's identity and other Wrestling superstars while knowing the game more.
Official Release Date and Special Editions
"WWE 2K18" will hit store shelves on October 17 for PS4 an Xbox One and other than the game's standard editions, there will be two special editions to be offered to fans. 2K and WWE first revealed what's coming in the Deluxe edition, which contains the main game with special packaging, season pass, pre-order bonus digital content, and the Collector's Edition digital content.
The details of the three items remain a secret at this point and will be revealed this summer, including the content offering for Collector's Edition. More so, players who pre-order either Deluxe or Collector's Editions will enjoy an access to the game beginning October 13, that's four days prior to official launching of "WWE 2K18".
