He assures the fans of the space adventure video game that it will run smoothly on the Xbox One X in 1080p and in 4K resolutions when launches on November 7. For those who are unaware, the Thargoids will return to "Elite Dangerous" along with Update 2.4.
Since 2014, players have explored the expanse of Milky Way galaxy as conflict between the Empire, Federation and Alliance arose. As players discover artifacts and unidentified relics, they unwittingly getting closer to the return of a long-lost adversary.
The Thargoids will be reintroduced in "Elite Dangerous" via update 2.4 called The Return, posing a new danger to the galaxy and bringing forward the community-driven narrative. "The Return continues the Horizons season with ongoing story events that will see pilots thrust into battle against the Thargoids for the first time in gaming's modern age," Frontier press release stated.
The developer promises that there will be more details that will be revealed in the next few months about the Thargoids, which is described as a "terrifying alien menace." The update will force players to develop new tactics and technologies in order to survive.
There is no specific release date yet for update 2.4, but the press release says it will arrive in Quarter 3 of this year. "Elite Dangerous" is now available on PC and Xbox One, and is coming to PS4 on Tuesday next week, June 27.
