Doomfist is rumored to be the a future DLC character on "Overwatch" this year.
The latest updates for "Overwatch" will feature the return of Lucioball and Doomfist to be revealed on patch 1.13.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the next DLC hero for "Overwatch" as username bax42 posted something from the game's forum website and multiple people confirmed it to be an error. However, Reddit username Cam3Ran was able to compile a whole list of screenshots showing that the next DLC event is called "Doomfist/Summer Games."

It is hinted that this event will feature the long rumored next DLC character Doomfist coming to "Overwatch," along with rhe return of the game's first major event, "Summer Games" in the patch 1.13. Doomfist has been heavily rumored in the game for sometime and many believed that character could appear in E3 2017 due to "White Chicks" star Terry Crews attending the event.
Sadly it is revealed that Crews introduced another game during E3 2017 and Doomfist was not introduced in "Overwatch: during the same event.
The patch 1.13 is being developed by Blizzard Entertainment in their "Overwatch" PTR sessions as the update contains new features like loot box updates, new highligh options, clarified the text on the “Flag Carrier” options under the Capture the Flag settings for Custom Games; removed the “Projectile Speed” and “Projectile Gravity” options for heroes who do not have projectile weapons and in-game bug fixes.
The new "Overwatch" patch will also include the return of Luicioball into the game as eagle-eyed fans on the PTR have noticed an interesting addition to their profile pages. The latest update to the PTR appears to have added stats for Goals, Saves, and Interceptions.
Lucioball in "Overwatch" is a Rocket League-styled mode that sees players control Lucio, while trying to blast a giant ball into the goal. The game mode was part of a limited time event in "Summer Games" and has not been made available on the PTR ever since, but these sporty stats might tease a comeback soon.
It should be noted that game director Jeff Kaplan previously confirmed that "Overwatch" year two will not introduce any new events. However, the developer did say that pre-existing events could come back, specifically mentioning Lucioball as one of the game modes that could make a return, Gamrerant reported.
Blizzard Entertainment previously launched patch 1.12 in "Overwatch," which introduced a new map called Harizon Lunar Colony, along with several in-game fixes and character nerfs and buffs.
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
