The latest updates for "Spider-Man" PS4 will feature more classic and new characters, as well as the game not coming to Xbox One X.
It seems that the new "Spider-Man" game for the PlayStation 4 will introduce more characters into its plot. Insomniac’s Creative Director Bryan told Electric Playground (via WCCFTech) that game's cast will be huge and will include classic villains and newcomers.

So far, the characters in "Spider-Man" PS4 includes Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Martin Li/Mister Negative, Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Capt. Yuri Watanabe and Miles Morales. There are also hints of Oscorp and the Daily Bugle in the game so Marvel and gaming fans should expect the likes of Norman Osborn/Green Goblin and J. Jonah Jameson to pop up in the game.
Meanwhile, Insomniac Games confirmed that "Spider-Man" will only be a PS4 exclusive after tweeting an answer from a fan, asking if the game will be ported to the Xbox One X.
The game developers were adamant that since "Spider-Man" is published by Sony, it will be exclusive only to the PlayStation platform.
It is no surprising that Sony is not going to let "Spider-Man" come to any other platforms. After all, Sony is pushing the game as one of the biggest PS4 exclusives on the horizon, choosing it to close out its E3 2017 press conference with an extended gameplay demo that was met with enthusiasm from the gaming community.
Sony is so confident in "Spider-Man" that they believe the game could help push the PS4’s sales past the 100 million units sold mark. At last count, PS4 sales were a little over 60 million worldwide, so that means Sony thinks the game is enough to sell at least another 40 million units of its eighth generation console, Gamerant reported.
Previous reports stated that the "Spider-Man" PS4 can run at 4K resolution, via Temporal Injection of 30fps. The developers also added that an option to run the game at 1080P at 60fps is not really feasible on the PlayStation 4 Pro, most likely due to the CPU constraints. It seems like having a complex open world game running at 60FPS is just too much to ask for current generation consoles.
The "Spider-Man" PS4 game will also feature a first-person mode, although it cannot be switched at will during the course of the game.
"Spider-Man" PS4 will launch in early 2018 for the PS4 console.
