Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Rumors: Release Date, Specs, Pricing and More Details Revealed So Far
Samsung said there will be a Galaxy Note 8 release date later this 2017 but the Asian tech giant stopped short of providing the juicy details. However, leaked details and renders of the phablet flagship continue to emerge and the latest only affirm the recent Note 8 hints.
The latest claims from Weibo, China's largest microblogging site, are in line with the leaks shared in recent days by Evan Blass aka @evleaks, according to WCCFTech. The post pictured the Note 8 as a near doppelganger to the Galaxy S8 Plus with the display panel measuring 6.3-inch diagonally and with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio or virtually the same as the GS8 and GS8+.

The Note 8 display will sport Samsung's signature Super AMOLED technology and will render in 2K resolution. The same report pointed to a dual camera setup that will make use of two 12-megapixel sensors with optical image stabilization.
Unsurprisingly and as revealed by @evleaks earlier, the next big thing from Samsung will draw its power from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 depending on the market destination. RAM support is officially set at 6GB but it's important to note that the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus were offered with 6GB RAM in the China. So it's a possibility that a Note 8 with 8GB RAM will hit the same market later on.
Providing the Note 8 with power juice is a 3300mAh battery pack, the size likely decided to prevent the battery explosion problems that doomed the Galaxy Note 7 last year.
No pricing details were included in the Weibo post but earlier reports suggested the Note 8 asking price is certainly breaching $1000 mark in most markets but closer to $900 in North America. The pricing levels are seen to be close to that of the iPhone 8.
And possibly to gain a significant lead time against the iPhone 8, rumors have it Samsung is rolling out the Galaxy Note 8 ahead of schedule. According to BGR, it will be an August 26 introduction for the handset with a planned event in New York. But the actual release date is seen to only happen in the following weeks or early September 2017.
