A Florida man pulls up a shark from the water, drags it down on the sand for a selfie in Palm Beach.
Local media reports from Florida released footage of a man dragging a shark out of the ocean from a local beach, after the shark washed up ashore.
This shocking act was filmed by WPTV's news anchor and reporter Ashleigh Walters from Palm Beach some days after a baby Franciscana dolphin was scooped out of the ocean where it was carried around and paraded around by an unknown man so that tourists can take a closer look and take photos of the helpless sea animal.

During that time, a spokesperson for the World Animal Protection condemned this act and behavior of beachgoers who abuse and use animals such as dolphins for entertainment purposes. This is a terrible and unfortunate event showing an example of casual cruelty inflicted by humans on animals for the use of entertainment, without considering the animal's welfare, the agency said.
In this video captured by Walters, where she posted it on her Facebook page, the man is seen approaching a bull shark and dragging it across the shore with its tail, as it was pummeled into the sand. The shark attempts to fight back for survival against the force inflicted by the Florida man which was eventually pulled into land and was held down on the shore.
The man then leans over the shark as someone takes a photo. Other locals and media can be seen taking picture of the marine animal which is being held down against its will on the sand, as it becomes weak.
Another local man drags the limp shark after moments, into the shallow water however, it became clear that the animal suffered from shock as it struggled to navigate its way back into the ocean.
Walters reported that the shark was eventually placed farther away from the water after the video footage. She adds that the shark did not resurface for about several minutes, as this video triggered violent reactions from Facebook users commenting that this act was considered as animal cruelty. Some of the comments say how incredibly stupid for people to take selfies in this way.
Florida shark regulations involve harvesting or fishing for sharks, under rules and seasons as implemented strictly by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
