The much-anticipated Lumia X Surface Phone was spotted on the GFX Bench site. It is expected to be soon released in two variants.

According to Inferse, Lumia X Surface phone may be powered by an Intel chip and have a Qualcomm Adreno 530 graphical processing unit.

The phone came to light when Microsoft China accidentally revealed a phone called the Lumia X, and this is now speculated to be the Surface Phone. It all started with a new video which the Chinese wing of Microsoft released to explain Continuum.

This is the feature which is offered with the Microsoft Lumia 950 and also the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL. This feature allows the users to hook up the handsets to a monitor, a QWERTY keyboard and also a mouse through the Display Dock. Long story short, it turns the Lumia 950 and/or the Lumia 950 XL into a desktop system. This feature is made available with an added cost of course.

Now this video did not mention the name Lumia X, but a description of the video does mention that. The description goes on to say that the feature of Continuum is supported in the Microsoft Lumia 950, Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, and Lumia Phone X, along with Acer Jade Primo.

Even though Microsoft later edited this particular description from the video in order to remove the reference to the Lumia X, discussion forums are pretty sure now that the phone might well be on its way to be released soon. Some forums are also saying that if Microsoft was not bothered about the actual device name getting leaked, why did they remove the name of the device from the description of the said video.

Not much is known about the Lumia Phone X device at the moment. Rumors suggest that it might be the long rumored Surface Phone from Microsoft. The leaked specifications of the device say that it will support the feature of Continuum.

Rumors also suggest that the device will come with an Intel Atom processor along with a 4 GB of RAM, according to GSM Arena. It should be noted here that the Surface workgroup works absolutely independent of the Microsoft Mobile team, which is the team behind the manufacturing of the Lumia devices.

So, it seems a bit strange that the Surface Phone will be named as the Lumia Phone X internally.
