Rumors are rife that Apple will be launching the IPhone 7S or iPhone with a large 5.8-inch AMOLED display

The current generation iPhone 6S has a 4.7-inch screen whereas the iPhone 6S Plus has a 5.5-inch display. Apple has been IPS LCD screens in the iPhones released so far. However, new speculations indicate that Apple will be making use of AMOLED display on iPhone that will release in 2017 or 2018. Rumors also indicate the IPhone with AMOLED display will have a large screen of 5.8-inch, The Motley Fool reported

The well-known market analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities, is of the view that Apple is unlikely to use AMOLED screens until 2019. However, fresh news indicates that Apple is currently in discussion with three suppliers, Samsung Display, LG Display and Japan Display to supply it with AMOLED displays so that it can be used in the forthcoming iPhones.

The current generation iPhones have IPS LCD displays that work with additional backlight. If the IPhone of 2017 or 2018 arrives with an AMOLED screen, it won't require any additional backlight. This will make it possible for the iPhones to sport a slimmer design.

 The increase in the size of the display to 5.8-inch will allow iPhones to take on the Galaxy Note smartphone. Apple is pegged to order 50 million units of AMOLED screens of 5.8-inch size in the beginning year of its availability.

 In this year, Apple is expected to launch three iPhones, namely iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro.  The iPhone 7 Plus will be featuring single-lens camera., but the model that will arrive with a dual camera setup on its rear panel will be dubbed as iPhone 7 Pro.

Speculations indicate that the successor model for the iPhone 7 Pro that will be probably launched with the iPhone 7S Pro moniker will not feature a dual-camera setup but also it will be fitted with an AMOLED panel, 9 to 5 Mac reported.

On March 21, the Cupertino-based company is slated to unleash the iPhone SE smartphone that will be sporting a 4-inch display. It will be coming with specs like Apple A9 chips, 1 GB of RAM, 12 MP camera and more. Apple is heavily pegged to announce a 9.7-inch iPad Pro at the same event. It is expected to similar specs like the 12.9-inch iPad Pro such as Apple A9X SoC, 4 GB of RAM and quad speakers.
