Nexus 6p will give a stiff competition to the recently released Samsung Galaxy S7.
Samsung S7 and S7 edge pre orders have started since Feb. 23. On offer is a free VR gear for selected buyers when it was released in March 11 globally. Nexus 6P, on the other hand, was launched in October 2015, and its price has been cut recently to $499 on Google Store while Galaxy S7 comes with carrier plans varying from $650 to $696. Samsung Galaxy S7 shall have additional color choice of gold apart from black, white and gray that Nexus 6P comes with.

According to Gotta be Mobile, Galaxy S7 has a 5.1-inch screen while Nexus has 5.7-inch screen, and both offer same resolution of 2560 x 1440 Quad - HD display. Also, both have Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but Galaxy S7 has TouchWiz. While both have Fingerprint scanner, Nexus has it on the back while Samsung has the same in its front.
Nexus 6P comes with a scratch resistant glass, according to the comparisons done by phone Arena. Samsung Galaxy S7 has an advantage of having Quad-Core Qualcomm 820 processor, 4GB RAM, while Nexus has Quad-Core Qualcomm 810 Processor and 3GB of RAM. The microSD card slot can add another 200GB to the already 32GB internal memory of Galaxy S7, which can't be done on the 32/64/128GB internal storage variants of Nexus 6P.
Samsung Galaxy S7 has IP68 rating for dust and water-resistance, a definite advantage over Nexus 6P. Nexus 6P, however, has a 3,450mAh Rapid Fast Charging battery compared to 3,000mAh fast charging and wireless fast charging battery of Samsung Galaxy S7. Galaxy S7 has 12MP camera while Nexus 6P has 12.3 MP. Moreover, the Dual Pixel technology in Samsung Galaxy S7 provides image stabilization, which is missing in Nexus 6P. The imaging of Samsung S7 is so good that it competes with some DSLR's.
While Samsung has been able to do a quick upgrade over S6, adding memory card slot and adding battery life, it has done justice with the camera as well. Nexus 6P is giving a hard time to Samsung Galaxy S7, especially with the recent price drop.
