Amazon is now re-selling Comcast's Internet and TV services in a new section on its official website called Amazon Cable Store. The name suggests that the retail giant might add other cable providers in the future. Amazon.com visitors can now purchase single-service deals or bundles that include web, television, and phone services; finish a credit check; then set up an installation schedule.

TV Predictions first spotted the Cable Store before it went live, and noted one new TV/Internet plan does not include ESPN. The store's pages now include prices for different plans but it is still unclear which Comcast markets the online store serves.
Cable Store also includes promotional items such as a free Amazon Gift Card when signing up, according to Tech Crunch.
Shoppers who get Comcast services from Amazon will also get dedicated customer service. This is big news because Comcast is notorious for having bad customer service.
Amazon's site reveals that customers who sign up for Comcast's XFINITY TV service will enjoy a no-waiting customer service line that answers calls within one minute. While the company is advertising the service as being "exclusive" it also offers it to other clients including Business customers.
Another major benefit is that the Cable Store lets shoppers build cheaper TV bundles that fit their budgets. Shoppers first choose a group of core channels. They can then add variety packs of channels including Family, Sports, and Premium Entertainment categories. The system is like TV packages offered by Verizon, Dish, and Sling TV.
People with Comcast plans can also use the new site. However, the Cable Store FAQ reveals that Comcast directly handles downgrades, plan changes, and cancellations.
Amazon also offers the Amazon Home Services platform. It directs shoppers to local professionals for various services such as housekeeping, yard care, and car repairs that do not involve physical Amazon products.
In related news Comcast recently launched its rollout of 1Gigabit per second (Gbps) Internet service in Atlanta. The company has plans for a launch in other markets later this year, according to Business Wire. Customers will be encouraged to provide feedback about the new service to the world's largest cable company.
