Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC recently announced that it is launching its upcoming flagship device, the HTC M10 or simply the 10, on April 12. HTC added that the event can be witnessed by fans via online streaming, just like what it did when it launched the HTC One A9.
With the latest announcement from HTC, April is scheduled to one of the busiest month for the company as it is also scheduled to start shipping the HTC Vive virtual reality headgear on the same month. Prior to the announcement, HTC had been teasing the tech community over the past few weeks by promoting the hashtag #powerof10.

Not much is known about HTC's upcoming flagship device. A handful of renders leaked in February showed that device to sport a home button with a fingerprint scanner and have some large edges. Apart from the leaked renders, rumors claim that the HTC 10 will have a 5.15-inch screen and a powerful Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm, the same chipset that powers some of the high-end Android devices in the market, according to The Verge.
While HTC's announcement incited a bit of excitement in the tech world, some tech experts are still skeptical whether HTC can pull off a trick in order to make the HTC 10 stand on top of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
Some of the latest leaks claim that the HTC 10 will have a Super LCD screen and a powerful 3000mAh battery pack. While the flagship is scheduled to be launched on April 12, it will be available for sale until May 9.
Rumors had it that the HTC 10 will be available in four color variants; Glacier Silver, Topaz Gold, Carbon Gray and Silver. The device is believed to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out of the box with an HTC Sense 8 interface. It will also sport 4GB of RAM, a feature that has become a standard for the latest top tiered devices.
Storage option is believed to be limited to a 32GB model with microSD support for expansion. For its camera specs, the HTC 10 is believed to have a 12-ultrapixel rear facing camera with laser assisted focus, according to PC Advisor.
