Microsoft's Twitter Chatbox
Microsoft has built a Twitter chat box named Tay that talks like the Millennial generation including its sayings and text message abbreviations. The OS giant's artificial intelligence (AI) bot not only uses modern vocabulary that might be added to future dictionaries, but also has a little attitude.

The new Twitter chatbox was developed by Microsoft Research and Bing and its code is based on improvisation comedy. Its developers claim that the goal is to talk with, entertain, and teach people between 18 to 24 years old.
One example of Tay's bitter attitude is when asked about its age the robot tweets back it is between 18 and 34 years old. Another response of the Twitter chatbox is that the AI runs on Sarcasm A++, which refers to the C++ programming language.
In other situations Tay talks like Hollywood actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The AI bot has also texted words and phrases included in today's jargon.
Tay even asks some odd questions, such as which award someone would win for doing a certain action every day. It is an interesting question because people usually win awards for big successes in fields such as music, TV, film, and sports.
Another key feature of the AI chatbox is that it moves conversations to Direct Message (DM). It could be due to the cloud server that runs the AI robot preferring to experiment through private messages because some people might not want to see the chat, according to Computerworld.
Microsoft's Twitter chatbox could be the future of the social network. It could later involve various features such as a human-locating GPS tracker, and Internet of Things (IoT) gadgets that tweet.
In related news Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey recently shared in an interview on NBC's Today Show that the microblogging site will keep its 140-character limit, according to Reuters. He explained that it is good to keep the limit so tweets are not very long.
Since Dorsey has returned as the Twitter chief executive in October he has made several changes. They include changing the "favorite" icon from a little star to a heart, and adding Moments to find tweets about big news stories.
