Apple has planned to get the Apple Pay to work with websites for iPhone and iPad during the second half of the year. It is going to help iOS users make purchases directly from the Safari browser on their devices.
As of now, Apple Pay can be used for purchases in third-party apps, which back this service and even in mortar and brick stores. Since Apple Pay is being extended to the Safari browser, it is going to reduce the customers' need to download the app from the store for payments with Apple Pay. The outcome of this will be a payment service more efficient and more convenient, almost similar to PayPal. There is a talk about Apple Pay's future that it will include a possible person-to-person payment feature that imitates Venmo or Square Cash.

When customers use Apple Pay for payments in an app, those who make purchases from mobile Safari need not enter the address or method of payment. This information is provided by Apple Pay and validated through a fingerprint. According to Apple's talks with other websites, the Apple Pay feature is going to be publicized before the holidays. As per reports, this announcement is going to happen probably at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference.
The company also plans to make the Apple Pay feature accessible on the Mac OS, even though it is not quite sure how to make it work without a fingerprint sensor. It is said, "Shoppers using Safari browser on iPhone and iPads are going to be provided with this service. These mobile devices must have Apple's fingerprint and Touch ID technology." Apple also plans to make this service available on Apple desktop systems and laptops. But it's not sure if this capability is going to be launched by the company soon.
