The specifications of the purported Amazon Kindle Fire 8 HD (2016) tablet has been spotted on GFXBench.
Amazon is now rumored to be working on the alleged Amazon Kindle Fire 8 HD (2016) tablet. It has been listed on GFXBench as Amazon KFGWI along with key specs. Judging by the specs, it seems that it will be a lower-end device compared to the Kindle Fire 8 HD from 2015, GSM Arena reported.

The upcoming Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2016) features an 8-inch screen that offers a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. The MediaTek MT8163 chipset that comprises of quad-core processor working at 1.3 GHz and Mali-T720 MP2 graphics will be powering the upcoming Amazon tablet.
The chipset will be supported by 1.5 GB of RAM. The native storage of the device is expected as 8 GB. However, it will only offer 4.5 GB of storage space for the user. The GFXBench listing does not reveal whether it will feature a microSD card slot.
The rear side of the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8 has a 2-megapixel camera whereas the frontal panel of the tablet houses a VGA snapper. It will be arriving preinstalled with Fire OS 5.1 that is nothing but a customized edition of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Amazon Kindle Fire tablets do not feature Google Play. Instead users are required to make use of Amazon Appstore to install apps. The price of the tablet has not been disclosed. However, early speculations suggest it price will be lower than the $149 price tag of the 2015 Amazon Kind Fire 8 HD tablet, Phone Arena reported.
The Amazon Kindle Fire 8 HD from previous year also features an 8-inch LCD screen that produces a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. The MediaTek MT8135 SoC is the driving force for the device. It includes a 1.5 GHz quad-core CPU and Power VR G6200 GPU.
The MediaTek SoC is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The tablet in comes in storage options like 8 GB and 16 GB. Users can add up to 128 GB of microSD card on its additional storage. The tablet features a 5-megapixel camera on its rear panel whereas the front houses an HD camera that can be used for capturing selfies. The Fire OS 5 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop comes preloaded on the device.
