Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has already impressed people by doing yoga poses and greeting an airplane of Syrian refugees. Then on April 15, Friday Trudeau explained quantum computing to a group of reporters while visiting a physics research center. This was after the reporter noted he was going to ask about quantum computing but asked a question about the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) instead.

Trudeau then compared normal binary systems that consist of a one or zero logic gate, with quantum computing that allows more complex data to be encoded into one bit.
The Prime Minister's answer has been posted by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). It has already been viewed more than 7 million times, according to Voice of America.
Many people are discussing Trudeau's answer on social media. One Facebook user said they were proud of their prime minister, while another Facebook poster said that he was embracing his "inner geek."
Nevertheless, other social media commenters wondered why Trudeau did not answer the question about the fight against the terrorist group ISIS. In fact, Canadian blogger, J.J. McCullough even argued that the question and answer were planned ahead of time. It is true Trudeau had learned about the topic earlier in the day during his visit to the Perimeter Institute in Ontario.
However, Trudeau's press secretary Cameron Ahmad told Gawker that the Q&A was not staged. He said that the question and answer were both impromptu.
Canada's Conservative party has even used the viral video of Trudeau's explanation of quantum computing in an attack ad. The political ad argues that Prime Minister Trudeau was avoiding "serious questions." However, it fails to point out that Trudeau went on to answer the reporter's question about ISIS after explaining the tech topic, according to The Huffington Post Canada.
Still, most Canadians were proud about the prime minister's intelligence. One social network user argued that Trudeau had the knowledge and skills to run the country.
Raymond Laflamme is co-founder of the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo. He told Gawker the prime minister knows the basics of quantum physics and the key questions to ask experts.
