'Ninja Buglar' Gear
A New York robber known by the nickname "ninja burglar" has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after he accepted a plea deal on April 21, Thursday. He pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary and agreed to two years of supervision after being released, due to a shortened sentence. The Staten Island resident confessed to over 100 home robberies between 2006 and 2014.

46-year-old Robert Costanzo was only charged with three thefts because the statute of limitations had passed on the others. He earned the moniker "ninja burglar" due to wearing an all-black ninja outfit and after a homeowner fought a burglar dressed in black who was swinging a pair of nunchucks in his kitchen.
Costanzo's public attorney explained that his client lost his job as an elevator technician because he had a felony conviction. After he was fired Costanzo started robbing homes in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. He racked up over $4 million worth of cash, and luxury items such as jewelry and watches, according to New York Post.
However, Costanzo's lawyer claims that one of his client's goals during his robbery spree was that nobody would get hurt.
Connecticut police report that they arrested Costanzo after he made a cellphone call while at a crime scene, according to NBC New York. Investigators could then trace the call. Costanzo was also caught on surveillance camera footage.
Staten Island residents report they are pleased to hear that the decade-long crime spree is over. Anna Brunk said that everyone in the area can sleep a little better at nighttime.
In related news, earlier this year Ring challenged Google's Nest Cam with its new Stick Up Cam. It is completely wireless, and designed to be used outdoors thanks to its water-sealed case. When the unit picks up motion during the day or night it activates the camera and a clear photo is sent to the Ring mobile app on iOS, Android, or Windows 10.
Ring reports that Stick Up Cams can be strung together to create a perimeter. It also claims the internal battery can last for up to one year on a single charge.
