Hydro Pod of "Bubble Man"
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) has rescued an ultra marathoner who planned to run across the Atlantic Ocean in a large bubble, from Florida to the Caribbean and then back again. Two days after starting his 5-month voyage the bubble man was picked up by the USCG and returned to Florida for violating its order not to make the trip, according to Newser.

The USCG tweeted that the adventure runner's trip had ended. 44-year-old Ray "Reza" Baluchi received a letter on April 15 that he did not have permission to leave on the clearly unsafe mission. In addition, the letter explained that his vessel and the conditions he was traveling in were dangerous.
Baluchi was traveling in a vessel that works like a hamster wheel. He was caught in the Gulf Stream's waves and reportedly chose to end the trip himself, according to CNN.
The extreme runner had planned to run from Pompano Beach in Florida to areas such as the Bahamas and Haiti. Baluchi said that his goal was to raise money to teach poor children that they can reach any goal and have a better future if they are steadfast.
On April 20, Wednesday, Baluchi wrote on his website that he had a support boat to take him to international waters. He planned to leave his Florida city that Friday.
Baluchi planned to eat protein bars, catch fish, and sleep on a hammock.
The Florida man had tried once before to travel in his "hydro pod" across the ocean. In October 2014 he was rescued 70 miles (112 kilometers) off the coast of St. Augustine, Florida after his GPS dropped into the water. The USCG received a report that a lost man off the coast of Miami was asking people for directions to Bermuda.
Baluchi's first rescue reportedly cost the Coast Guard $140,000 and put people at risk. He faces up to 7 years in prison and fines up to $40,000 for ignoring the USCG order.
However, a representative for Baluchi has said that he will try again to run from Florida to the Caribbean. In the past the marathon man has run across the United States twice and around the country's perimeter once.
