Logitech Logi Base
iPad Pro owners now have way to charge their tablets while keeping it standing up. Logitech's Logi Base iPad Pro Stand uses the little dots on the mobile device's edge known as the Smart Connector that connects the mini computer to Apple's Smart Keyboard. The new aluminum gadget for juicing up the Apple product while standing at a comfortable 70-degree angle has a high price tag of $99 at Apple Store.

Switzerland-based Logitech claims that Logi Base is the world's first device that uses its Smart Connector to charge the iPad Pro, according to PC Mag. It explains that magnets inside the charging cradle line up the iPad's Smart Connector and ends the need to find a charging port. iPad owners just need to drop in a 9.7-inch or 12.9-inch Apple tablet computer into the sleek-looking charging dock.
The Smart Connector provides magnetized input that allows for data and power to be transferred at the same time, according to iMore. It enables Apple's Smart Keyboard and similar devices that do not require synchronization or rechargeable batteries.
A Lightning cable connects to the back of the Logitech charger, which also ends the annoying problem of cords hanging from the edge of the iPad Pro. The tablet's Lightning port can then be used to charge Apple Pencil.
Logitech's new charging stand also includes a base covered with a rubber that sticks to surfaces but does not leave a messy residue.
The new iPad Pro charger is not complex. However, it provides near-wireless charging for the Apple tablet and includes tech that could be used for an iPhone 7 charging stand as the new phone will reportedly have a Smart Connector.
Logi Base has a somewhat high price compared to other charging stands on the market. However, it should be noted that the iPad Pro itself has a $700 price tag. In addition, the gadget could result in lower-priced accessories that link to the device's Smart Connector.
Logi Base is now available at Logitech as well as Apple retail stores. Logitech was founded in October 1981 in Apples, Switzerland, and manufactures PC and tablet accessories including keyboards, mice, webcams and game controllers.
