Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone has been officially launched in China and would be available for purchase on August 26 with the price tag of 899 yuan ($135/approximately Rs. 9000) for the 16GB version and 1199 yuan ($180/approximately Rs. 12,000) for 64GB storage version.

According to GSM Arena, customers can buy the Redmi Note 4 from Xiaomi's Mi.com online store, Mi Home stores, and via China Mobile as well as offline channels. However, has been no announcements about whether it will be released in other markets.

The Redmi Note 4 has a 5.5-inch full high-definition display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, 2.5D curved glass display, and a pixel density of 401ppi, NDTV reported. It is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 MT6797 chipset clocked at a speed of 2.1 GHz. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with MIUI 8 skin and Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.

The Redmi Note 4 comes in two storage variants; one with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage and another with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Both variants can be expandable up to 128 GB via a microSD card.

The Redmi Note 4 comes with a metal unibody design. It is packed with a massive 4100 non-removable mAh battery. It supports hybrid SIM slots (dual SIM/microSD and microSD). It sports a fingerprint scanner on the back below the primary camera and dual-tone LED flash.

The Redmi Note 4 features a 13-megapixel camera at the back with phase detection autofocus, an aperture of f/2.0, and 1080p video recording capability at 30 frames per second. It also features a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 85-degree wide angle shots.

The connectivity options of Redmi Note 4 are GPS, GPS/EDGE, GLONASS, FM radio, 3G, 4G with VoLTE, micro-USB, and Bluetooth 4.10. The device's sensors include infrared, proximity, ambient light, gyroscope, and accelerator.

The Redmi Note 4 measures 151 x 76 x 8.35 mm and weighs at around 175 grams. It is available in dark gray, gold, and silver color.
