Google is expected to launch Daydream VR headset on October 4
Google is allegedly planning to launch its Daydream VR headset this month. In May, the company revealed the headset to be launched this fall. The tech giant is also expected to launch its Pixel phones and 4K Chromecast as well.
According to PC Advisor, the headset is likely to be aimed at masses. However, the headset is said to be far more advanced than Google's other VR offering, Cardboard.

Daydream is likely to require a compatible Android phone to function. Currently, it is unclear which phones meet the hardware requirement. Ideal phone would have a fast processor, robust sensors and high refresh rate for the display.
The headset is expected to have a head band for a more comfortable experience. Like other VR devices, it would require the phone to be inserted into the headset. The controller will form a core part of the VR experience and will assist in selecting items and playing games. Google is currently working on developing VR content such as games and movies.
Besides its VR headset, Google is expected to also release its Pixel phones this month. According to Digital Trends, there are likely to be two new Pixel handsets. The company may also introduce new Chromecast devices under the likely names of Chromecast Ultra or the Chromecast Plus.
Google may also launch Google Home. This device was announced at I/O event this year and would compete with Amazon's Echo.
