The launch date and specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 smartphone have been leaked on Chinese micro blogging platform Weibo.
As per the leaked information, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 may be launched on September 24. Many were expecting the device to be launched on September 2. The leak was first reported by tech news website Androidpure.

"Today we have a new leak spotted on Weibo by Androidpure, which suggest that Mi Note may be launched on September 24, 2016," the online publication wrote. "The leak comes in the form of a teaser for a launch event but with just in the form of number with 9.24 written on it (which is short form of 24th September) along with Xiaomi logo and the Mi Note 2 on top."
The leak suggests that the smartphone would come with a 13-megapixel dual camera. The Mi Note 2 will also come with two different storage configurations of 64GB and 128GB. The device will be priced around 2,799 Yuan ( approx. $420). The device is said to be powered by 2.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 processor.
The Mi Note 2, as per new leak, would sport a 5.7-inch full high-definition display. Earlier rumors suggested that the device might come with a 5.5-inch display. It would also feature 128GB of internal memory, 6GB of RAM, a 3600mAh battery, a fingerprint censor at the front, and two speaker grilles.
The Chinese smartphone maker is also planning to launch the Redmi Note 4 in September. The device is said to be run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and features 32GB of internal memory and 3GB of RAM.
