While Xiaomi's Redmi 3S Prime and the Motorola Moto G4 Play have much in common, the differences in their specs and performance are significant.
Here is a review of the two smartphones outlining their differences:
The Redmi 3S Prime has a metal body that gives it a premium look. The smartphone comes with a 5-inch display with a 720 × 1280 pixel resolution and 294ppi density. The phone runs on Android Marshmallow and has an octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC.

The Redmi 3S Prime packs a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter. This hybrid smartphone has 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It comes with a microSD card, which doubles as a SIM slot. The device packs a non-removable 4100mAh battery with fast charging feature.
On the other hand, the Moto G4 Play is a cheaper model of the Moto G4 series. The smartphone was build by Lenovo. While the phone is lighter than the Redmi 3S Prime, it feels bulky in the hand.
The Motorola Moto G4 Play packs an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 410 with 2 GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via a dedicated microSD slot.
Lenovo did not add many extra features to the device. The Moto G4 Play packs a 2800mAh battery, and the manufacturer expects users to depend on the phone's Quick Charge feature as opposed to giving it more capacity.
Fans of Moto G4 have no reason to ditch the Moto G4 Play mainly due to the brand itself. Those who prefer buying a cheaper Android with a removable battery should as well go for Moto G4 Play. The device does not seem to keep up with the trend since it lacks a fingerprint sensor or any outstanding feature.
However, customers who want a smartphone with more features and functionality should consider purchasing the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime. Here is footage showing the details of the Redmi 3S Prime:
