Facebook adds full-res photo support to Moments apps
Facebook Moments app now supports full resolution pictures. The app has been updated with several other new features such as sharing albums through a web link. Facebook is also making Moments available on the web.
Facebook replaced its mobile photo sync feature with Moments last year. According to Tech Crunch, the updated version of Moments allows users to share their private albums via a web link. The link can also be accessed by people who are not their Facebook friends. The link wouls also allow other people to join the album and add their pictures to it.

To access this feature, a user is required to click on the three dots at the bottom right corner of the screen. Tapping 'Share Link' would provide users with a link which can then be shared through email, messages or any other channel. According to Life Hacker, the recipient does not need to have access to the app.
Another feature added to Moments is related to full-resolution pictures. Earlier, the app optimized pictures for mobile use. However, now users can save their pictures in their full-resolution. For this purpose, users need to click the star at the top-right corner of the screen to favorite the picture. This can be done anytime within 30 days of adding the picture. Facebook has stated that users can favorite an unlimited number of pictures.
Facebook is facing increasing competition from Google Photos, which offers an option for saving high-resolution photos. The new Facebook Moments app is now available on Google Play and the iTunes App Store.
