Highly anticipated PlayStation 4 title The Last Guardian has been delayed again.
The highly anticipated PlayStation 4 title The Last Guardian has been delayed once again. The new release date is now Dec. 6. The title was due to be released on Oct. 25.
The development of the game, which started about a decade ago, has been faced with problems.
According to a statement made by SCE Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida, the company requires extra time to deliver the best product to buyers. The statement also alluded to problems with bugs which affected the final stages of development of the game. The game follows the story of a young boy who is trying to escape a mountain city, with the aid of his flying companion known as Trico. They encounter various puzzles which must be solved to advance in the game.

According to Time, the game was originally designed for PlayStation 3 in 2011. However, it failed to meet the milestones and release was canceled on account of "technical difficulties." The title was announced in 2009 as a follow up to the popular PlayStation 2 titles Shadow of the Colossus and Ico. Both games were designed by The Last Guardian developer Fumito Ueda, who left Sony in 2013, casting a shadow of doubt over the future of the title.
The game title was revived in 2015 when Sony announced the PS4 version of the game. Sony Japan is collaborating with Ueda's new studio to develop the game. The Last Guardian has received acclaim for its visual design and overall presentation.
