Conquer the Goldfish.
Conquer may just be a $9 Goldfish, but he means a lot to his owner Emma Marsh, who is from Queensland Australia. She spent over $377 to save the fish after he swallowed a pebble that almost took his life.
Marsh was in panic when she discovered that Conquer was choking on a mysterious object. She rushed him to Brisbane Bird and Exotics Veterinary Services where she was told that the tiny Goldfish needed to undergo an operation to remove a 9mm pebble that he swallowed.

Dr. Emma McMillan said that she was surprised that Conquer managed to swallow a pebble twice his size, considering that he was only 5cm long. She and her team had to drip anesthetics into Conquer's water. When the Goldfish fell asleep, they tilted his mouth and placed forceps to dislodge the pebble.
Dr. McMillan also said that she was amazed at how Marsh was able to notice the pebble at all. She took to Facebook to share what happened and to acknowledge how Marsh was such as responsible pet owner.
Marsh told Fox News that Conquer was struggling to dislodge the pebble by making excessive mouth movements. She noticed that there was a slight darkening in the fish's mouth region where the stone had been sitting at the bottom of his throat.
"If we did nothing, he would have starved to death," Marsh said.
While the entire procedure saved Conquer's life, it cost Marsh a total of $377 (the equivalent of $500 in Australia). Marsh said that the money did not matter to her anyway as long as her Goldfish was back in his tank alive.
