Apple's iPhone 7 sold out just hours after its launch. However, users are now complaining about some problems they are facing with the prized gadget. The new iPhone 7 comes with a capacitive touch button, which requires skin contact to be activated. This is an issue for people who use gloves often. However, the bigger complaint is about the device making a hissing sound.

There have been several reports about Apple's latest flagship device making a hissing sound. According to The Verge, the phone seems to be making some sort of "coil noise." This kind of sound is made by a processor or electronic component when it is not properly dampened. Heavy work pressure may also lead to this noise.

The noise was first noticed by Stephen Hackett of 512 pixels, who noticed the sound was present even when his iPhone 7 was just sitting idle. However, Jon Fingas of Engadget claimed that he tested his iPhone 7 using 3DMark 'Ice Storm Extreme' and did not hear any hissing sound at all. 3DMark 'Ice Storm Extreme' is a performance benchmark which puts intense strain on a processor to test its efficiency.

Apple Insider believes that the issue may be due to the RF transmitter or some other part interfering with the speaker system. Many have equated the sound to that of whirling fans a user may hear when their computer is overworked.

Apple has not addressed the issue yet. It is unclear how widespread this issue is. However, in the case of 512 pixels, the phone was replaced.
