The updated version of Google Maps with Google Calendar is now available for download.
Google has unveiled an updated version of Google Maps with an integrated Calendar application.
Users who upgrade the application to version 9.38.1 will automatically get the calendar feature. Google Calendar is only available once a user's Google account is signed in and the Web and App Activity option is activated.

With a goal of delivering convenience, the company believes that the combination of map and calendar will help users become time efficient.
The personalized application also allows users to select only related information to a specific time, place or event. Upcoming events can be inserted on the map to get directions beforehand. Automatic directions for the approaching events may also be provided by Maps.
Since both applications are connected with a user's Gmail account and contacts, confirmation emails for reservations are also visible in Maps under the Upcoming tab.
Users can easily tap the "Dismiss" tab from the map in case the Calendar notifications become bothersome during navigation.
Google Calendar is available for Android and iOS devices.
