Mark Zuckerberg is building an artificial intelligence system for his home.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg previously announced that he was programming an artificial intelligence to run his home. Now, he has asked the public to suggest someone to voice the AI for him. To his surprise, Robert Downey responded.
Zuckerberg started programming his AI as part of his "personal challenge" this year. He likened the AI to Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man's constant companion, J.A.R.V.I.S. Thus, it is ironic that the very person who responded to his crowdsource was Iron Man actor, Robert Downey Jr.

On his personal Facebook page, Zuckerberg and Downey had an interesting exchange.
While there were other interesting suggestions including Paul Bettany (who voices J.A.R.V.I.S in the "Iron Man" films), Benedict Cumberbatch, Liam Neeson, and even Morgan Freeman, Zuckerberg was caught by the Oscar-nominated actor's response. He even replied with a comment "This just got real."
Zuckerberg has been committing "personal challenges" every year. In 2011, he committed to eating an animal that he personally killed, and in 2014 he challenged himself to write at least one thank-you note every day. This year, his goal is to build his personal artificial intelligence.
In his announcement, Zuckerberg wrote that he was going to start building the AI using the available technology. "I'll start teaching it to understand my voice to control everything in our home - music, lights, temperature and so on," he said.
Apart from seeking voice suggestions, Zuckerberg announced in August that his artificial intelligence could recognize his face and open the gate to his home.
