The trial units of the Apple Watch 2 will go under construction by the end of January. However, since these will be trial devices, less number of units will be built. Once the trial devices are tested, the Cupertino tech giant will let its manufacturing partners to begin the mass production of Apple Watch 2 in order to announce it through the March launch event, Phone Arena reported.
Rumors have suggested that the Apple Watch 2 will function as a stand-alone smartwatch meaning that users will be able to use it independently without pairing with an iPhone to answer and make calls.
It is also expected to feature a FaceTime camera through which users will be able to take advantage of video calling. Since Apple had stared several job vacancies in the biomedical field, speculations are suggesting that Apple Watch 2 will be coming with several health sensors.
The Apple Watch 2 is expected to feature a slimmer OLED display and is also going to arrive with a thinner chassis. Its slimmer design will make it possible to arrive with a bigger battery than the one present inside the first generation Apple Watch. With a possibility of larger battery onboard on the Apple Watch 2, the smartwatch will be able deliver extended battery performance.
The alleged launch event that will be held in March this year will not only introduce the Apple Watch 2 to the world but also it may be also used to announce the 4-inch iPhone 5e smartphone and iPad Air 3 tablet.
After revealing the Apple Watch 2 in March, it is likely to hit the market by April. As of this writing, there is no official confirmation from Apple on the March unveil event.
