Final Fantasy 15 would support HDR gaming on Xbox One S, according to Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft Xbox.
Spencer revealed on Twitter that the game will be launched with support for high dynamic range (HDR) gaming.
Unlike old versions of the Xbox, HDR is a unique feature of the Xbox One S. It will allow gamers to enjoy richer colors and brighter image on television. Several games currently support HDR including Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Meanwhile, competitor Playstation 4 models are all HDR compatible thanks to an update of the firmware. There are speculations say that the upcoming release of FFXIV favors Sony over the Microsoft's brand due to its custom PS4 Slim Bundle. The JRPG also supports HDR on PS4 Pro edition which was released last September.
The launch of an HDR compatible game on Xbox One S is considered as a crucial factor considered by consumers during purchase, especially for the holiday season. However, Spencer stressed that the release of Halo 5: Guardians compatible with HDR might not happen. Budget-conscious gamers may prefer the Xbox One S priced at $300, which is cheaper than the $400 PS4 Pro.
Final Fantasy 15 is the fifteenth installment of the Final Fantasy series, an open-world action role-playing game developed by Square Enix and directed by Hajime Tabata. The latest game is said to revolve around more realistic human characters and environments. It will be released on Nov. 29 for both PS4 and Xbox One.
