The Smartisan M1 and Smartisan M1L smartphones both run on the Android-based Smartisan 3.0 operating system out of the box.
The Smartisan M1 and Smartisan M1L smartphones have been released in China.
Chinese mobile manufacturer Smartisan is currently only known in its home country, Phone Radar reported. The company has not revealed its plans of entering other markets.

The Smartisan M1 and Smartisan M1L both come with a totally revamped design. There are no physical buttons below the display of all the three smartphones. The devices also sport two-volume rockers on the left and right edges and run on the Android-based Smartisan 3.0 operating system out of the box.
The Smartisan M1 and Smartisan M1L are both powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 821 chipset clocked at a speed of 2.35 GHz and coupled with Adreno 530 GPU at 653 MHz. They also support Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging with the 24W power adapter.
The Smartisan M1 and Smartisan M1L feature a 23-megapixel Sony IMX318 rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, optical image stabilizer, and laser autofocus. They support 4K recording and also capture slo-mo videos at 240fps.
The Smartisan M1 and Smartisan M1L also come with a 4-megapixel OmniVision 4688 front camera with f/2.0 aperture for capturing selfies. The professional mode of the camera app offers 32 seconds long exposure.
According to Gizmochina, the Smartisan M1 has a 5.15-inch full high-definition in-cell display from JDI with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is packed with a 3050 mAh battery that can give four hours of call time after just five minutes of charging.
The smaller Smartisan M1 measures 149.36 x 71.75 x 8.22 mm with a weight of 146 grams. It costs $369.08 (2499 yuan) for the version of the smartphone with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
On the other hand, the Smartisan M1L has a 5.7-inch quad high-definition in-cell display from Sharp with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It is packed with a bigger 4080 mAh battery that can last up to 3.5 hours on a voice call after just five minutes of charging.
The Smartisan M1L measures 159.66 x 78.96 x 8.32 mm with the weight of 175 grams. It is priced at $413.38 (2799 yuan) for the version of the smartphone with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, and $442.92 (2999 yuan) for the version of the smartphone with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There os also a stainless steel version of the phone with a mirror finish that costs $487.23 (3299 yuan) with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
