The BlackBerry DTEK60 is now available for $499.
BlackBerry has unveiled its latest offering DTEK60, an Android phone with a fingerprint scanner. The phone is the second Android phone for BlackBerry, which is assembled by a third party.
The new phone comes from TCL, the company behind its predecessor, the DTEK50. However, BlackBerry is responsible for the robust security measures on the phone.

The new phone features a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and is a little bigger than the DTEK50. The phone also has a 3,000 mAh battery. The unique selling point for the phone is its fingerprint scanner. This scanner can be used for unlocking the phone. Users can also use of their fingerprints for executing Google Pay commands.
Apart from these features, the DTEK60 also comes with scratch resistant glass for durability. Blackberry claims that its display comes with a special coating which can provide protection against fingerprints and smudges. BlackBerry's Smart Keyboard can learn the user's accuracy and typing speed to provide better predictive choices.
The phone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor under its hood. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. However, the phone also has a microSD card slot, which can be used to expand the storage capacity to up to 2TB.
The DTEK60 features a 21 megapixels rear camera. The front camera for the phone is 8 megapixels. The camera supports autofocus and dual-tone LED flash. Its DTEK app is designed for monitoring the operating system. It warns the users when their privacy is at risk. The phone is now available on Blackberry's website for $499.
