LG has released its newest smartphone named the LG U.
The mobile handset division of the South Korean conglomerate has recently unveiled the LG U smartphone in its home country of South Korea. Priced at around $345, the device will soon go on sale in South Korea. LG, however, did not reveal details of the LG U's roll out in other markets.

LG U Specifications and Features
The LG U is very much identical to the LG Nexus 5X in terms of specifications and features. The newest LG smartphone runs on the Android Marshmallow operating system and is powered by a 1.14 GHz octacore processor. It has 2GB RAM of RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD.
Like the LG Nexus 5X, the LG U sports a 5.2-inch full high definition display with the resolution of 1080x1920. It features a 13 megapixels rear camera and a five megapixels front camera for selfies. It also packs a 3000 mAh non-removable battery.
Last month, LG had announced the launch of the V20 smartphone in South Korea to revive its struggling smartphone business. The company recently said that its mobile division posted an operating loss of $400 million in the third quarter of this year.
"Priorities for the final quarter of the year will include increasing sales of the new LG V20 smartphone and mass-tier K and X series and finalizing business structural improvements in the mobile division to be better prepared for the challenges ahead," LG said in a statement on Friday.
