'Dying Light' DLC News: New Trailer For 'The Following' Features Weapon Customizations, Upgrades For Dirt Buggies; Techland Tease Death Match, Co-op Scenarios? [VIDEOS]

New "Dying Light" details will feature a new game trailer for its DLC expansion "The Following", as well as new death match style and co-op scenario gameplays soon.

The latest gameplay trailer for the "Dying Light's" latest expansion "The Following" will feature gamers customizing their Dirt Buggies into the ultimate zombie killing machine. The video titled "Weaponized your Ride" will feature three options for the Dirt Buggy; Customize, Modify and Upgrade, Gamespot reported.

Customize allows gamers to change their Dirt Buggies with over 40 paint job however they like it and will add certain items like bubble heads and charms. Modify will allow players to repair and upgrade certain parts from their Dirt Buggies from engines, brakes, handling, acceleration etc. to make it more efficient on the road. Upgrade will feature upgraded stats for the driver AKA the player as they will be able to unlock skills and weapons such as flame throwers, UV headlights, ramming bars and many more for zombie extermination.

The Dirt Buggies will playe a crucial role in "Dying Light's" expansion as Game Producer Tymon Smekala stated that the open ground for "The Following" is massive and they will need them explore more grounds without any sort of heavy danger. Smekala added that "The Following" will able players to have an "emotional connection" between them and their rides.

Aside from the the new trailer, Techland teased a possible new gameplay modes for "Dying Light: The Following" expansion.

A new update is said to feature death match style mode for "Dying Light" for online gamers who wanted to have PvP game modes. If not interested in the PvP death matches, their is also a co-op game mode were they will have to work together in order to unlock certain scenarios.

The free update will also have several custom made maps as modder username RabidSquirrel created a map called "Don't Drown" that set on an island which constantly rises in dangerous levels forcing players not just to worry about zombies, but their surroundings as well, Gamerant reported.

Smekala stated that PvP and co-op support can inspire a new wave of original maps for "Dying Light" for the gamers to enjoy and they are looking forward to use one of these maps for future updates for the game.

"The Following" expansion will be available on Feb. 9, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms for $20, but gamers can get the expansion for $30 when they have the DLC Pass. In addition, the expansion will also be added in "Dying Light Enhanced Edition" which will launch the same day as "The Following".

"Dying Light" is currently available in stores for the PS4, Xbox One and the PC.
