The UMi Plus E smartphone has been officially launched in China at $200.
The UMi Plus E is another smartphone from the Chinese handset maker UMi. It is an upgraded version of the UMi Plus smartphone priced at $179.99. It comes with a metal uni-body design with narrow bezel screen that is used by 6000 series aluminum alloy frame.
The UMi Plus E has a sharp 5.5-inch full high-definition screen display with 95 percent NTSC color gamut for better viewing experience even in the sunlight, a pixel density of 401 ppi, and 16M colors. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 chipset clocked at a speed of 2.3 GHz and coupled with Mali T880 Graphics, running at 900 MHz.
The UMi Plus E runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with pre-installed applications. It comes with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal storage that has an additional storage up to a maximum of 256GB via a microSD card slot.
The UMi Plus E is packed with a massive Sony 4000 mAh capacity battery with quick charge support that can deliver 48 hours of 4G call, 17 hours of video play, 15 hours of gaming, and 121 hours of music play. It is equipped with a fingerprint scanner with Touch ID 2.1 embedded with the physical home button. It can be unlocked in just 0.1 seconds and can register up to five fingerprints.
The UMi Plus E features a 13-megapixel Samsung 3L8 camera at the back with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. It also comes with a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front for better selfies and video calling. It is capable of recording videos up to 1080p at 30 frames per second.
The UMi Plus E supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE network. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.1, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and USB Type-C port. Sensors are GLONASS, accelerometer, G-sensor, compass, Hall switch, gyroscope, P-sensor, and L-sensor.
Pre-orders for the UMi Plus E smartphone will start on Nov. 23 and shipping will commence on Dec. 10.
