The LG V20 smartphone, which was released in September, is set to hit India next week. The company will be unveiling the V20 smartphone in India on December 5, 2016 with a price tag of Rs 54,999 (approx. $808).
The much-awaited LG flagship smartphone was launched in South Korea in September. It is also currently on sale in the United States. The V20 reportedly registered a record 200,000 unit sales within ten days of its launch in US.
LG has been trying to revive its ailing mobile handset business. In October, the company announced that its smartphone division posted an operating loss of 463.4 billion won ($400 million) in the last quarter. However, LG is hoping that its latest flagship smartphone, the V20, will turn the tables and boost its sales in its home country as well as key markets like United States, China, and Hong Kong.
"Priorities for the final quarter of the year will include increasing sales of the new LG V20 smartphone and mass-tier K and X series and finalizing business structural improvements in the mobile division to be better prepared for the challenges ahead," the company said in a regulatory filing.
